"I WAS THAT GIRL" NON PROFIT-ORGANIZATION

I Was That Girl: A Non-Profit Organization Born from Real Stories.

Because every girl deserves to know she's enough, exactly as she is.

A Letter to the Girls We Serve

Dear Beautiful Girl,

If you're reading this and thinking "this sounds like it's for me," you're absolutely right. If you've ever felt like you don't fit in, like you're not enough, or like no one understands what you're going through , you belong here.

Your struggles don't make you weak; they make you human. Your sensitivity is not too much; it's a gift. Your dreams are not too big; they're waiting for you to believe in them.

At "I Was That Girl", you'll find other girls who get it, mentors who've been where you are, and a community that celebrates exactly who you are right now while supporting who you're becoming.

You are seen. You are heard. You are valued. And you are never, ever alone.

We can't wait to meet you.

Today, we're sharing something deeply personal, powerfully transformative, and urgently needed in our community. After months of planning, dreaming, and gathering courage, we're proud to introduce the "I Was That Girl" a Non Profit-Organization, born from the understanding that behind every confident woman is often a girl who once felt invisible, unworthy, or alone.

The Story Behind "I Was That Girl"

The name says it all "I was that girl" the one who avoided mirrors, who believed the whispers in her head that said she wasn't pretty enough, smart enough, or worthy of taking up space. I was that girl who smiled on the outside while battling storms of self-doubt within, who dimmed her light to make others comfortable, who apologized for existing.

But here's what I learned: I wasn't alone. Young women navigate the complex journey of adolescence while battling social media pressures, peer comparisons, academic stress, and the challenge of discovering who they truly are in a world that constantly tells them who they should be.

The " I Was That Girl" non profit Organization exists because no girl should have to navigate this journey alone. We exist because transformation is possible, because self-love can be learned, and because every girl in our community deserves to know her worth.

Our Mission: Transforming Self-Doubt into Unstoppable Confidence

A Non-Profit Organization born from real stories and real struggles created to empower young girls in Kitchener and the surroundings to embrace their worth, build confidence, and celebrate their unique beauty.

We believe every girl deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported on her journey to self-love. Through workshops, mentorship, creative expression, and community connection, we walk alongside girls as they transform self-doubt into unstoppable confidence.

This isn't about quick fixes or surface-level motivation. This is about deep, lasting change that happens when young women are given the tools, support, and safe spaces they need to discover their authentic selves and embrace their inherent worth.
